” Superb and reliable service “
Sent my Cervelo P2 for servicing in August. Previously there were problems with my gears and despite sending to a few LBS, the matter was not resolved till I sent to Bikes and Bites. The after service made my 2008 bike like brand new and my average speed also improves. The attitude of the staffs were excellent too! Very polite and service oriented. Will send my bikes to be service here only in future.
“Who is CRAZY enough to buy a Gokiso Wheelset.?”
That was in my mind when I heard about the brand Gokiso, in the beginning of the year by a cyclist friend. As a cyclist, I like to buy new parts to upgrade my bicycle so I can go faster or ride longer distance. I bought many things including ceramic bearings, pulleys, bottom brackets, wheelsets and frames. Though they did give some improvement, but I only feel a tiny improvement. NOT ENOUGH I think.
Boss, love the Speed Cage deep deep. Helped me to climb Mount Faber x2, Henderson Park and also Kent Ridge Park. It felt like I had an additional gear after my 28 😀
Ultra-light with disc brake! Focus made its mark at the Eurobike 2015 with the Izalco Max Disc. With its frame weight of 790 g in size 54, it is one of the lightest racing bikes in the world, without any detriment to rigidity and comfort suspension. “In the future disc brakes will be considered indispensable in bicycle racing. Focus not only adopts this trend, but also breaks new ground in terms of weight, which renders the former disadvantages of disc brakes on racing bikes less significant,” reasoned the jury.
Seven jurors rated 500 new bike releases for 2016 and thus more bikes than ever before. The impressive models were assessed by Jens Klötzer (Tour Magazin), Karen Eller (Mountainbike Pro/Die Rasenmäher) and Daniel O. Fikuart (aktiv Radfahren), among others.
So should I buy or not? ……..
Having thought about it for about 3 months , I finally made up my mind to ” invest” in a pair of Gokiso road wheels. As I am a value conscious buyer, I settled for the cheapest end of the range.
In all the experiences that I have had with Bikes n Bites, three aspects of Paul and his team have always stood out.
Expertise – Paul, David, Theo, Mickey and the rest of the Bikes n Bites team are experts in their field. They have had so much experience building and servicing bikes that the advice they give and the standards of workmanship that they hold themselves to are remarkable. For example, when I was collecting the Cervelo P2 I was fitted for, Paul was able to identify that I would need two additional 1mm washers to push out each pedal, so as to keep my knees aligned – at that time, I have to admit, I felt perplexed that a clean looking machine like that needed four measly washers to accomplish what seemed to be a jerry-rigged fix – yet, after months of riding almost every day, I have not had any pain in my knees or legs when riding the bike. I deem myself very fortunate to have been able to work with Paul and his team – looking back, their expertise has given me a bike ownership and riding experience that I would otherwise have taken many more months or years to get right.
