Apologies for taking so long to express my gratitude to you. I must say thanks for helping me to get my Cervelo S5 up and running for the Tour De Bintan(TDB) 2014. I had a blast at the event. And the S5 really shined at TDB.
First of all, I was able to pull the main peloton for the first 80km on the first day and 50km on the second day. The ride was smooth. And during moments when I thought that I would get off the S5 to push, it came through for me. I had alot of riders coming up to me to tell me that they want to own the S5 after seeing how I was able to pilot it to pull the peloton. I was really glad that I brought the S5 over to the TDB instead on my former ride. I don’t think I would be able have perform so well with it.
Thanks to Paul for his professional bike-fitting. It really made my ride at the TDB more endurable. The fatigue and discomfort that totally disrupted my ride only came in past the 126km point. And yet, I was able to finish the whole 150km without stopping on the first day and managing a friendship handshake at the end.
Thanks to Theo for recommending the correct pedals to me so that I could have a smoother spin at the TDB. Without it, I could have imagine how much more effort I would have to give out at the event. The effort could be small but in an endurance race it is that little extra that makes the difference between being able to continue or stop. I’ve seen many riders bonked out and fell on the side of the road during the event so all these little recommendation matters.
Thanks to the repair man at BikesNBites also for expediting the fixing of the initial glitch in the BB so that I could bring the S5 over.
Overall, I’m very happy with the service that BikesNBites has given me. Even under such a tight timeline, they were able to have my S5 up and running for TDB. Thank you BnB for everything. Hope to get more great bikes from you guys in the future.
