When riding in the rain, it’s not the first onslaught of moisture that’s the problem, but the slow creep of the water as it begins to seep through the seams, zippers, and openings. The Q36.5 Rain Shell Vest fights this using clever design features that shut the water out without adding bulk or preventing breathability.

To avoid water trickling or wind penetrating down the neck, we’ve employed our hermetic collar which uses a dual material construction to ensure an airtight seal against the neck when fully zipped. The softness of the internal collar will sit snugly against the skin or a high-collared jersey, while the outer layer uses the same waterproof material as the rest of the vest to keep moisture at bay. A similar dual layer construction is used at the arm holes with an added elasticity to prevent water or wind from penetrating.

At the bottom and back of the Rain Shell Vest, a dual level elastic construction helps keep the vest snug against the body without causing an unwanted feeling of constriction. The upper level of elastic keeps the vest tight against the waist while the lower level near the bottom of the vest uses grippy elastic to hold it in place. This double level solution ensures no water or wind can make its way up the rider’s backside. A water repellent zipper works with the material to prevent unwanted moisture leaking into the vest's interior.
